As women and as mothers we instinctively put the safety, health and the well-being of our children and our families first, often at the expense of our own health. It isn't necessary to just keep pushing through the difficult times, never letting your guard down, so that you don't fall apart. Always needing to have more, to be more and do more but never feeling that we are 'good enough' just as we are. Life is too short to be filled with worry and tension, sickness or pain. There is a time to work, a time to rest, a time to laugh and a time to simply be still and connect with our true selves. For only when the soul sits with satisfaction are our mind and body in harmony.
The first step towards happiness is awareness. When we are aware of the damage that stress can cause, of how different we become when we are stressed we begin to understand how important it is to take care of ourselves.
